Jess Glass is a freelance journalist with a byline at PinkNews. 

They are currently studying for their NCTJ Diploma in Multimedia Journalism at News Associates, generously supported by the Journalism Diversity Fund.

As part of the course, Jess is working at the Old Bailey on Fridays, working as a court reporter with Court News UK.

Jess optimistically hopes to get their 100wpm shorthand before Christmas.

As well as news, Jess regularly covers entertainment stories, film and theatre reviews and has written a wide range of features and comment pieces.

During their time at PinkNews, Jess covered a wide range of stories, including issues in the UK and internationally.

Jess has had their work aggregated by sites including Indy100 and The Guardian.

Jess recently completed a Master’s Degree in Gender and Sexuality at Birkbeck College, University of London.

During their undergraduate degree Jess worked with The Boar, the student paper of Warwick University, covering a variety of stories in the arts, the occasional comment piece and one news story about a racist swan.

They live in Milton Keynes with their three cats (and grandmother) and identify as non-binary.
